David Constantino Obituary

David Constantino, age 60, of Franklin, formerly of Roslindale, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. For 34 years, he was married to the love of his life, Janet (McGonagle). He was the devoted father of Rose Constantino and her significant other Tom DiPina of San Diego, CA, Christina Constantino of Franklin, MA, and Mary Thomas and her husband Tyler of Franklin. David was the son of the late Francis and Jean Constantino. Loving brother of Robert Constantino and his wife Dorothy of Attleboro, and Elaine Webber and her husband Michael of Walpole. He was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and friend to so many. May he find peace as he joins all those who have gone before him, especially his parents and his nephew, Bryan Webber. David was a gift to all who knew him. His love for life and the simple life he lived was so admired. All who knew David know what a genuine man he was, always putting others first. In the 1980s, with a passion for disco music, he was a disc jockey playing his music for many, volunteering often to play for a benefit dance or just for a friendly get-together, or just making mixtapes for his friends. David was a 1979 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, MA. He worked for several years at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale before establishing his own business in Franklin as a General Contractor. His love for carpentry persuaded him to go into business for himself. His enthusiasm for his work brought him so much happiness, and he and his family were always so proud of his accomplishments. Throughout the years, "Dave" became a fixture in Franklin, earning the love and respect of so many in the community. When he wasn't working, you could find him on his front porch with a smile on his face, just waiting for the next friend, neighbor, or stranger that he could invite to sit next to him for a laugh and a cold drink. His actions were strong--he wasn't known as the "Beast" for nothing-- but the way that he could smile through you was even stronger. His pride in his work was admired and trusted by so many. He always wanted to help the next person in line and give back to those in need, which he mostly did in silence. All of the houses that David worked on throughout the town of Franklin will stand as monuments to him, and his love and energy will live on through his family, friends, and everyone he impacted during his life. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 31, in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 4- 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please pass on an act of kindness in David's memory.

David was a genuine man. His daughters played basketball with my daughters, and I would always sit with Dave. He was just a very solid guy, and a hell of a contractor. His loss will be felt for some time. RIP Dave, you were the best.

I didn´t know David but he renovated my daughter and son in law´s house in Franklin. His professionalism and care is evident in the amazing work he did. My sympathy to his family.

Dave put an addition on our house that added so much to the joy and memories our family has experienced through the years. We talked to several contractors, but there was something so special about Dave that we knew he was the right person for the job. Dave, thanks for all you did for us. My family and I will be forever grateful to you. RIP my friend.
