Stafford Cyphers Obituary

Stafford D. Cyphers BRAINTREE- Stafford David Cyphers, 59 years of age, recently of Lynn and a former Braintree resident, died at his home May 2, 2012. He was born in Malden and graduated from Braintree High School Class of 1969. He subsequently graduated from Kenyon College in Ohio in 1973. He had been a security officer for the Longwood security company in Boston. He was a former Master Councilor for Wompatuck Chapter Order of Demolay. He had been an Acolyte at Trinity Episcopal Church, Weymouth. He was the son of the late Stafford Herbert Cyphers and the late Virginia (Brough) Cyphers. He is survived by his loving step-mother Alda Esther (Harrison) Cyphers of Braintree and by his brother Eric Scott Cyphers of Weymouth. Nephew of Walter and Beth Brough of Locke Mills, Maine and Robert Brough of Friendsville, Tenn. He is survived by his cousins Nancy Marsh, Heather, Heidi, Holly, Bruce and John Brough. His step-aunt was the late Shirley Russell of Chelmsford. Visiting hours were held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree Tuesday, May 8 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service was held at the Union Congregational Church, 74 Commercial St., East Braintree, Wednesday, May 9 at 10 a.m. The Reverend Earl Alger officiated. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be sent to the Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118 or to Father Bills Place, 38 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169. |

Sorry to hear of another DeMolay boy going to see the Grand Architect of the Universe. He will be missed by all of us at Old Colony Chapter, DeMolay, Quincy.
