Lisa DeTora Obituary

Lisa Ann (Montgomery) DeTora, 51 of Barnstable MA passed away peacefully on January 1, 2015 after living with breast cancer for 18 years. Lisa was born in Hyannis on March 1, 1963. She married Anthony Tony DeTora in June, 1987. They made their home in Brewster and Barnstable, where they raised their two sons, Steven and Craig. She was very proud of her family and cherished the time she had with them and how much love and joy they brought to her as well as countless hours of laughter. Lisa was employed at Cape Cod Bank & Trust, which later became TD Bank. She worked her way up from part time Teller to Asst. Branch Manager. CCB&T is where she met her husband. Tony was a customer and Lisa knew he was the one for her the minute she saw him! They enjoyed 30 years together as best friends for life. She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert E. and Marjorie (OBrien) Montgomery and her brother in law Paul DeTora. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons Steven A. DeTora of Sandwich, MA and Craig J. DeTora of Barnstable, MA. Her brother Herb and his wife Susan Montgomery of Brewster and her brother Sean of St. Thomas, VI, her sister Tricia Debs and her husband Bill of East Dennis. Her nephew Todd Montgomery and his wife Greta; her niece Eryn Montgomery and her wife Amy; Great niece and nephews, Jack, Jimmy, Eli and Willow Montgomery all of Brewster. She is also survived by her beloved Rhode Island family; father in law Domenic DeTora and his wife Reba, mother in law Dominica DeTora, sisters in law Donna Gelsomino and her husband Bill, Phyllis DeTora and Susan Dexter and her husband Kirk. Niece and nephews Derrick Gelsomino, Amanda Gelsomino and her husband Dante Lopardo, Dominic Belcastro and Ross Dexter. She also leaves numerous cousins, relatives and friends. Her Celebratory Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 17, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main Street, Centerville, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial is private. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Comfort Zone Camp www.comfortzonecamp.org (a camp for children who suffered the loss of a parent) or Make a Wish Foundation www.wish.org.
