Charles "Kurt" Barrow
DANVILLE, IN - Charles "Kurt" Barrow, 66, formerly of Springfield, Ill., died at 4:20 a.m., Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Hendricks Regional Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1948, in Springfield to Charles and Esther VonBehren Barrow.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He married Tina L. Holt and she survives.
Also surviving are four children: Amy, Allison and Aaron Barrow and Nikolaos Panagiotids; a granddaughter, Shelby May; a brother, Kent (Debbie) Barrow of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kurt was a resident of Danville, Ind., since 1998 and formerly lived in Springfield. He graduated from Lanphier High School and Illinois State University. He retired as the Director of Property Assessment for the State of Indiana. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam. Kurt loved to fish.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be given to: The American Cancer Society.

I often remember our childhoods at Viola's: Kurt, Kent, myself and our Von Behren cousins. Kurt: a life well lived and in our memory always.

I have fond memories of Kurt. He was a classmate from First Grade at Pleasant Hill through Graduation at Lanphier. You will be missed.
