Cheryl Wagner Obituary

Cheryl Sherry Marie Wagner, former Topsfield resident, passed away November 10, 2012 in Greensboro, GA. Sherry was born on November 27, 1946, and married to Paul Wagner for 45 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Edward Ahneman II, and his wife Terie, of Peachtree City, GA; her son, Brian Wagner, and his wife Laura, of South Boston, MA; her daughter, Tracey Atwood of Belgrade, ME; her brother, Edward Skip Ahnemann III, and his wife Lu, of Stamford, CT; her brother Jimmy Ahneman, and his wife Sara, of Port Republic, VA; her brother, Tom Ahneman of Greenwich, CT; her sister Holly Steier, and husband Mark, of Avon, CT; 5 blessed grandchildren, Jamie, Tyler, B, Melanie and Hunter; and numerous, loved nieces and nephews. Sherry is predeceased by her beloved mother, Trudi Ahneman; her sister, Teresa Henderson; her brother Greg Ahneman; and nephew, Kyle Ahneman. She will be joining them to watch down over her friends and family. Sherry could always be found either with her loving family, or planning to get family or friends together, for any reason she could think of to throw a party. Sherry was in the Beverly Teachers Association for over 20 years, and an active member of the Lions Club, to which she devoted much of her life. Although taken too early, she had a second lease on life recently, and for that her family and friends are thankful. Sherry had a heart of gold and a soul of strength, and we are all fortunate to have been able to be touched by such an amazing woman. Please join us in celebrating Sherrys remarkable life, on December 1st at 11 am, in Topsfield, at her church, St. Rose of Lima. There will be a reception following at the Double Tree by Hilton, Boston North Shore, in Danvers, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club International Foundation.

Sherry changed my diapers. She was "all growed up" by the time I was old enough to share a relationship with her. She was special. Sherry could always find the silver lining in any circumstance. She was smart as a whip, had a great sense of humor, was very caring, and I'll always remember her devilish laugh. Sherry could always make me feel better in a New york minute. I loved her and I will miss her. My heart goes out to all who share this loss. Love to all.

My love to the Wagner and Ahneman families. They have lost a beautiful and caring mother. I was privileged to know Sherry and my sister was very lucky to have the best Mother-in-Law in the world.
