Matt and I were both in the Jazz Choir and both performed in plays at Triton. I never got to know him so well, but I got to experience his positive presence every day. He had a way of reaching out to people with a smile or a joke or a hug or even just a passing hello in the hallway, and although he probably didn't realize, I never took those small instances for granted. My memories of Matt really make me smile, and I know I'm not alone. His vibrant energy is still flowing in the brightened days of anyone he touched. I'm sad for the passing of a talented young person, and to those closest to him, I give my warmest thoughts. I will always think of Matt fondly.
With utmost sincerity,
