Please accept my condolences on the loss of this fine man. His caring nature comes out in the notice in the Boston Globe, asking us to do something kind and unexpected for someone today. What a lovely thought. I was a friend of his daughter, Jan, at Smith College and I would love to get back in touch with you, Jan. It has been far too long. I am living in Boston and my cell # is 617-840-0592. Please know that I am thinking of you. Best, Helen Campbell O'Malley

We were saddened to read about Jack's death in today's Globe and want to express our deepest sympathy to all the loved ones in his extended family. Our dear friend, Frannie Churchill introduced us to Jack and we remain convinced that his kind attention to her every need enhanced and extended her own life to the grand age of 95. He was a most engaging and entertaining man and it was our pleasure to have known him for far too few years.
