Donald McMaster Obituary

Donald E. McMaster, 72, of Beverly, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the husband of Linda B. (MacKay) McMaster for 42 years. Born in Bellows Falls, Vermont on March 7, 1939, he was a son of Fredrick H. McMaster of Medway and the late Evelyn M. (Gray) McMaster. Mr. McMaster was a resident of Beverly since 1989 and formerly resided in Medway. Mr. McMaster worked at DJ Fabricators, Inc. in Ipswich since 2000. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Medway VFW. Mr. McMaster enjoyed baseball and fishing, but most all, spending time with his family. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by three sons, Dale MacKay of Bedford, Thomas McMaster of Beverly and Michael McMaster and his wife Ema of Peabody, his daughter, Audra McMaster of Beverly, his grandchildren, Jonathon, Matthew, Timothy, Megan, Samantha, Stephanie, Damian and Sophie and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Frederick McMaster of Alabama, his sister Dottie Beksha of Franklin and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gilbert McMaster and Sandra Gronberg and uncle of the late Annette Beksha. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, June 23, at 10 a.m., in Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School St. in Medway. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., in Medway, (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
