My name is Cam Fraser, and in the early 70s, I owned an auto body repair business, 'The Bod' Shop", in Framingham.
A young boy working for me, JP Mayo of Sherborn, said his friend, Chris Mott, wanted to work with cars and asked me if I’d talk with him.
Hiring Chris turned out to be a good decision as he was always punctual, was an eager learner, diligent in every task given him and ever a hard worker, punching out every day with dirty hands.
Polite and respectful in his person, he possessed a confidence in himself, and always gave me the sense that he had a bigger plan for his future; that he had a real sense of where his life was going and knowing what he needed to do to get there.
Just beneath his surface, there lay a ready laugh looking for an easy release which, coupled to a dry humor, kept him popular around everyone.
I don’t remember how long we worked together, but do recall feeling the loss when he went left to learn a mechanic’s trade.
Several years later, crossing paths in Millis, Chris invited me over to his own shop, Acorn Motors. In his own concise, mannerly way, he gave me a thumbnail picture of the successes he’d achieved—but our talk was necessarily brief as the shop was full of broken cars, and customer deadlines needing to be honored.
Our parting handshake was firm and warm; just like my memories of Chris—firm and warm.
I offer my sincere condolences to his family.
Warmly,
Cameron Fraser

I just learned about Chris. Please accept my sincere condolences to all the family. Especially to Dana and Hunter who I knew as youngsters. Chris was such a nice gentle man. Chris came to me when I owned my hair Boutique for years. May he Rest In Peace. Sincerely Gina Tarara

I was a good friend of Chris growing up in Sherborn. We were neighbors and ran the neighborhood along with his brother Whitley and Tyler Wood. We had many great times together riding our bikes, playing games and running around in the woods. I went away to high school and we moved out of town eventually but I will never forget the good times and deep friendships we all had together. My heart goes out to his children, to Whitley and to Patrice. Chris was a good friend indeed when I was a youngster and I wish I had kept closer later in life.
