My prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all as you say goodbye to your wonderful dad. I have many good memories of your mom, from high school, then working with her at the Shawmut Bank when she met your father. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding and stayed in touch throughout the years. It saddens me to loose all my old friends, but I look forward to that great "reunion" some day! I know you all have good memories of the years gone by, as do I. They will both be in my daily prayers, as will you all.
Love, Gertrude Sullivan

My Dearest Uncle Eddie,,,. Wow, I am sitting reflecting on your 91 years. So many beautiful blessing God bestowed on you and Aunt Mary. Nine wonderful children who graced you with so many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wow... I closed my eyes and I see you ascending a beautiful long, white and gold staircase moving towards an exceptionally bright light. As you continue to climb, each step you regain your strength and are walking with no more pain. You see shadows in the distance and you feel such a overwhelming sense of peace and love. As you continue your walk, the shadows are begining to take form. There is Jesus with his arms wide open. You walk into His arms and Jesus says, welcome home Ed. Our Blessed Mother is right next to Jesus, and then, I can only imagine your excitement when you see Aunt Mary, Neddie, Mom, all your sisters, and brother and your Mom and Dad, all waiting to greet you. Wow,,, Your Safely Home now Uncle Eddie, surrounded by so much love. Thank you for your service here, in this world, to your country, your family and your faith. You will always in our thoughts and hearts for the wonderful, loving man you are.... I love you so much Uncle Ed. Please, give Mom,Dad and Jack a BIG HUG from me.... <3

Dad,
You were the ultimate teacher....of lifelong lessons in love, loyalty, commitment, dedication and perseverance. You were steadfast and unwavering in your commitment to God, your country and your family.
My ultimate life's aspiration is to live those lifelong lessons and to apply them to family, friends, and those I encounter along the path of my journey. You will be sorely missed but I take comfort knowing you are at peace, and once again reunited with our beloved Mom and Ned. Godspeed Dad....forever in my heart ❤
