Lester Gordon Obituary

Lester E. Gordon of Lexington, formerly of Concord, Cambridge, and Washington, D.C., died peacefully on December 24, 2017 at age 94. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ida E. (Robinson) and Heiman B. Gordon. His older brother Kermit predeceased him, as did his first wife, Elizabeth Candler (Forbes) Gordon, and his second wife, Eve Jessen Gordon. He is survived by his companion of ten years, Mary Petschek of Lexington, MA, children, Amy Gordon of Silver Spring, MD, Henry Gordon and his wife Dianne Dumais of Silver Spring, MD, Donald Gordon and his wife Amy Lowenthal of Bedford Hills, NY, step-children Leslie Linson of Worcester, MA and her husband, Howard Fain, Rebecca Linson Szetela of Acton, MA and her husband Brian Szetela, Benjamin Linson of Worcester, MA, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many other family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Pine St. Inn, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118. A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. www.douglassfh.com
