Doug was one of my students at Curry College. He was a very important and appreciated member of the radio station. I remember Doug as a friendly young man, and always interested in learning new things. This is a very sad day for me personally, and I want to extend my deepest sympathies for this loss.

I went to Curry College with Doug. He was always cheerful, upbeat, smiling. A truly beautiful person. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.

Dear Karl and Wendy, We fondly remember 'little' Doug with his charge account at Tom's ice cream truck. His favorite was 'very treasures'! We were so sad to hear of his death. You are in our thoughts.

Doug gave me my first radio gig at WNSH and then later WMWM. We had a falling out some years ago over something stupid and all this time I was tempted to call him but never could pull the trigger on it. Well, now it is too late and my friend is gone forever. Doug, I will never forget your smile, the laughter, and the never ending good times. Rest in peace my friend, I love you.

Doug, I'm sorry to have found out about your passing. Thanks for the opportunity to sit alongside you at both WNSH and WMWM between 2000-2005. It was a fun hobby and interesting skill to learn (running a mixing board) while it lasted. RIP, my friend. It was a pleasure to know you!

I knew Doug for 15 years at WMWM and WNSH radio, where he exposed listeners to local music of all kinds. He also had band nights and charity benefits, and worked hard to do an interesting radio show that served the community. Giving to others was his goal. We attended concerts and ballgames, ate out and I helped him a bit with charity efforts. Great sense of humor and a positive outlook. Many local artists got the attention they deserved thanks to Doug. He will be missed by many.--Bob Nelson, WMWM Radio

What a shock this was, we didn't think anything could stop Doug. It is hard to imagine music on the North Shore without Doug Mascott. Rest in peace, Doug. Earl & Loretta
