Michael Malouf Obituary

Michael J. Malouf, of Marshfield, went home to the Lord on May 2, 2017 at the age of 50. Michael is the beloved father of Shanley Droz of Watertown and son of Suham Sue (Stephan) Malouf, and the late Jean John Malouf. Dear brother of Delilah J. Dirksen and her husband Peter C. of Hampton, N.H., Linda M. Malouf of California and Uncle of Joshua P. Dirksen. Michael is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Michael was multitalented. He was an extraordinarily gifted guitar prodigy and a music composer. Michael played in bands, most recently with Electric Legacy to packed audiences, and also recorded with Brian Stratton and a singer from American Idol. He was also an accomplished ASE Mechanic with multiple certifications, and a car enthusiast with a love of Ford and Mustangs. Like his late Dad, Michael could figure out how to repair anything. Michael was charming, with a warm, engaging sense of humor, hospitable, an excellent and creative cook, including becoming an Assistant Manager at El Torito at the early age of 16, as well as serving as a chef at the Omelet Factory. Above his passion for music, Michael had a deep rooted love of God, his family, friends. He loved nature, fishing, and cherished every minute of life of which he looked upon as a gift. He had a huge heart, was generous with his money, time, and would do anything for anyone in need. Michael wouldnt think twice about taking off his coat to give to a freezing homeless person, or giving all the money he had on him to a stranger in need at the grocery store. Michael was an inspiration to many and one of the bravest of souls, who kept a positive attitude amidst a fierce battle with illness. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral, 7 VFW Drive, West Roxbury, MA, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Winslow Cemetery in Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michaels memory can be made out to the Michael Malouf Memorial Fund and mailed c/o Peter and Delilah Dirksen, 23 Juniper Lane, Hampton, NH 03842 For online guest book and driving directions, please visit www.macdonaldfuneralhome.com.

Rest in peace Michael. Your parents John and Sue loved you and always made me feel welcomed in their home. Sue even gave me a Job at "Sue's sub shop" back in the day when I needed work.
