I am so sorry to read of Max's passing. I was one of his journalism instructors at American River College. What a star he was at The Current! He and Briana were so good together. Sending you blessings during the holidays and always.

Dixie, I don't know if this will still reach you, but I do want you to know that I love you and my heart aches for you and your family. It is obvious that Max was a great person with a wonderful life.

Dear Family. Today I learned of Max's death through a co-worker at the Department of Education. She directed me to the article about Max. I hope to offer you some words of comfort through this message. The article about Max is very beautiful and his photograph shows a bright spirit. Through your story, I am touched and honored to learn about your beloved Max. Please accept this heartfelt message and prayers for your loss. Respectfully, Susan Just (friend of Dixie through the Dept. of Education)

It's a terrible thing to lose one so young and promising. I didn't know your young man, but please accept my deepest sympathy. Virginia E/Sacramento
