Grace V. Pendergast

Grace V. (Drew) Pendergast of Newton, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2016, at the age of 90. In her final days, she was surrounded by her family and songs of Amazing Grace. A lifelong resident of Newtonville, Grace was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Drew. She is survived by her dear brother Walter Drew of Waltham and is predeceased by her sister Anna (Falisa) Drew, CSJ. Devoted wife for 47 years to the late Charles A. Pendergast, Jr. Greatly loved mother of Charles and his wife Marie of Medfield, Kevin of Marlborough, Brian and his wife Kathleen of Canton, Mary Havens and her husband John of California and Edward and his wife Jane of Newton. Nana Grace is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Chad, Marissa and John Pendergast, Brian and his wife Katie, David and Dan Pendergast, Mariah, Drew and Jack Havens and Lynn, Erin and Julie Pendergast. She is survived by two great-grandchildren: Drew and Sam Pendergast. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Please join us for a visitation in rear of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St., Newton at 9:30AM on Monday, July 25. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
