Albert Banner Obituary

Albert A. Tony Banner, 50, of Uxbridge, died peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Susan T. (Grover) Banner 18 for years. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 17, 1965, he was the son of Vera (Wood) Banner of Washington, Maine and the late Daniel Banner. Tony was a resident of Uxbridge for the past 20 years. He grew up in Seekonk and graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin in 1983. Before retiring due to illness, Tony worked as a security officer at Milford Regional Medical Center for a short time and had previously worked as a welder for WF Wood in Holliston. Tony was a huge Patriots fan, enjoyed fishing and Pink Floyd music, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter; Kelley Anne Bujold and her husband Brian of Bellingham and was the proud Papa to Genevieve Bujold. He is also survived by a brother; Leo Banner and his wife Kristie of Warwick, two sisters; Linda Faria and her husband Leo of Seekonk and Anita Banner of Warwick, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Barbara Grover of Mendon and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Wayne Banner. At the request of Tonys family, a memorial service will be held at a later date. His family would like to thank their friends at the Uxbridge Senior Center and the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Milford for their kindness and support during Tonys illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tonys memory to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.
