Evelyn Chernoff-Pagano Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn I. Chernoff-Pagano 74 formerly of East Park Ave. Lynn died Friday in Salem Hospital after a lengthy illness Wife of the late Anthony Pagano.

Born in Saugus daughter of Frederick O.Rippon of Cocoa Florida and the late Mildred (Fowler) Rippon she was a graduate of Saugus High School class of 1946, Malden Hospital School of Nursing and received her Bachelors Degree Cum laude in education from Salem State College.

She was employed as a Teacher in the Lynn Public Schools from 1976 until her retirement in 1991. She taught English as a second language both at Lynn Classical High school and Lynn English High school. She later taught Grade 3 at Cobbet Elementary School.

She was a long time member of Bethany Church where she was a past president of the Womens Society and a member of the educational board. Former wife of the late Dr. Arthur H. Chernoff.

She leaves a daughter Laurel Tlumacki of Gorham N.H. and 2 Sons William A. Chernoff of Greenfield and his wife Glenna, James N. Chernoff of Ashland and his wife Eileen. 1 Brother Fred Rippon of Cocoa Fla. and 4 Grandchildren David, Charles and Thomas Chernoff and Alisha Tlumacki-Lumea.

Funeral Services will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
