Robert Tschudy Obituary

Tschudy, Robert P. Bob Robert P. Bob Tschudy passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. He was a devoted husband to Jane Spoehrer Tschudy, loving father of Linda Werner and Steve Tschudy, father-in-law of Pete Werner and Joanna Eckhoff Tschudy, adoring grandfather of Kevin, Nicki, Kai, Tyler and Peter and dear brother of Nancy (Fred) Burnett. Bob was born in 1936 to Lola and Ralph. He grew up in University City, MO where he was very involved in Boy Scouts and was a football star at U. City High. Bob went on to play football at Missouri Valley College and then Washington University. While at Washington U. he met the love of his life, Jane, and they were married for 55 years. Bob was proud of the years he spent in the Air National Guard. For most of his professional life, he was an insurance agent, owning his own business. He also founded a restaurant supply company and a lending business. He served on the Mary Institute Board of Directors. Each year he looked forward to the part he played in organizing the St. Louis 4th of July parade. He loved tutoring kids through his volunteer work at OASIS. Nothing was more important to Bob than his family. His children and grandchildren were the true joy of his life. He was a loving and involved Dad who never missed a game or a performance. He loved being with family and watching the grandkids playing. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank Jerry Vogel so much for his loyal friendship and kind support of Bob. Jane, How we will miss our wonderful neighbor since 1991 here on our street. He had such a cheerful personality, and delighted in greeting all of us neighbors. I remember when I he helped me with a key to get into my house when I came here from Chicago. I recall his golf cart rides given to our darling new neighbor children - he was good with all children, including your children and grandchildren. May God bless his memory forever - he will be missed by all of us.

what a sad greeting for my first trip to St. Louis area in sixty years. My thoughts to all the family and Nancy in particular. I was in U.City high and Missouri Valley with Bob and fondly remember those long ago day in the Boy Scouts from cub on up. Nancy I remember from days driving the red Rambler to work for my father. I have thought of Bob many times over the years and wondered if family still in St. Louis area. now I know. will remember Lola, Ralph, Bob and Nancy with fondness as long as I am around.

To Jane and all the family,
I'm so sorry to have seen this notice. I remember you all fondly as I was the babysitter for Steve and Linda growing up. I remember "Mr. Tschudy" always walking me to the door when he dropped me off to make sure I was safe! I will keep you all in my prayers, Dianne Forst Weaver.

To Jane Tschudy and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We all have fond memories of spending time with you and Bob in our visits to St. Louis, and you made us feel like family even before Linda and Peter were married. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
All our love and sympathy,
John and Rita Werner and family
