Robert P. "Bob" Tschudy

1936 - 2014

Tschudy, Robert P. Bob Robert P. Bob Tschudy passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. He was a devoted husband to Jane Spoehrer Tschudy, loving father of Linda Werner and Steve Tschudy, father-in-law of Pete Werner and Joanna Eckhoff Tschudy, adoring grandfather of Kevin, Nicki, Kai, Tyler and Peter and dear brother of Nancy (Fred) Burnett. Bob was born in 1936 to Lola and Ralph. He grew up in University City, MO where he was very involved in Boy Scouts and was a football star at U. City High. Bob went on to play football at Missouri Valley College and then Washington University. While at Washington U. he met the love of his life, Jane, and they were married for 55 years. Bob was proud of the years he spent in the Air National Guard. For most of his professional life, he was an insurance agent, owning his own business. He also founded a restaurant supply company and a lending business. He served on the Mary Institute Board of Directors. Each year he looked forward to the part he played in organizing the St. Louis 4th of July parade. He loved tutoring kids through his volunteer work at OASIS. Nothing was more important to Bob than his family. His children and grandchildren were the true joy of his life. He was a loving and involved Dad who never missed a game or a performance. He loved being with family and watching the grandkids playing. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank Jerry Vogel so much for his loyal friendship and kind support of Bob. Services: Memorial service to be held at Ladue Chapel, 9450 Clayton Road, 63124 on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:30 AM. Visitation/ reception following the service at Old Warson Country Club, 9841 Old Warson Road, 63124. Private Burial.
