My Sister Lisa:
I will always remember your strength, both body and mental, and your bravery. How you drove across country to California. It was amazing to me that you would do that by yourself!... you took up jogging and ran the NYC Marathon. I remember being at the finish with Mom, Dad and Chuck. You were disappointed and didn't give yourself credit because you didn't finish in time to meet the minimum for the Boston Marathon. How proud we were of you... The time you decided to swim across the lake at mom and dad's house in Plymouth. We tell our kids how you did that, and they're amazed... Then you married Bill and had your sons which is your proudest of all. They also have some of your strengths. Remember when you played in your younger years at Bemis Park and came in first place in the summer hot-shot contest! Jeff has your limberness and flexibility to play his tennis and Dan has your skills to be a very good basketball player. They're such good kids and will become even better as men because they had you for a Mom and have Bill to further guide them. We will also be there for them.

I'm so glad we got to bring our kids up together and enjoy the moments when we went apple picking, Canobie Lake Park, 4th of July fireworks, hanging at the lake talking celebrity gossip with Mom while the kids would swim and fish, and Christmas Eve at Christine's.
You also loved music, anytime I hear a David Bowie song, especially Major Tom, I will think of you! Thanks for the trinket case that you brought back for me from one of your trips. I'll treasure it always.

Your battle during your illness is probably where you showed your mental strength the most. Thank you for showing that to us so that we can use it during our own challenges in life, such as this moment now.
I will cherish our memories we had together. I love you Lisa.

I was in Pittsburg NH, on a fishing weekend in rememberance of my brother-in-law who passed in May when I learned of Lisa's passing. I immediately remembered meeting her back in junior high and being awestruck by this whirl of positive energy. She was truly a bright light in what is getting to be a dark world. I pray that she has found comfort in heaven and pray for her family as they try to move ahead.

I've typed and retyped my note several times deleting it... I am at a loss for words. The Dumas family and our family were childhood neighbors and I have fond memories of Lisa growing up. I am deeply saddened to hear of her battle and subsequent loss to cancer. Cancer sucks!

We are praying for the family for healing and peace. May God bless you and keep you.

I hand not seen Lisa in years. We were childhood friends in Watertown. Then one day when I was out in Plymouth she came up to me and introduced herself. I remembered her and she remembered me. That is the type of person she was. I'm sad to know this beautiful smile is gone for now. May Lisa be at peace forever.

Bill, Jeff , Dan and the Dumas family ~ I just want to wake up and hear," You are just having a bad dream" but I must face reality my strong, positive, fearless friend could no longer fight. She was a miracle, a true soldier til the end in her battle against cancer. Never once did she say why me, this isn't fair, she just did what she had to do and tried to live life to the fullest. You rest my little soldier, I know you are in Heavan, and I pray my Father was right there to greet you, because not a day went by that he didn't ask how you were, most times with a tear in his eyes this last year. You are an angel my "Lee", I will never forget anything about you.
With all my love and sorrow,
Judy

Lisa was a dear soul who did her best to reach out a helping hand snd show unconditional love to everyone she came in contact with. She was strong, kind, and gentle too. She was very compassionate--a rare quality these days--too. She had a tender heart along with a loving spirit. She was a good neighbor and friend. She loved Bill, Jeff, and Dan with all her heart. Without a doubt, Lisa is in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ well again.
"May God bless Lisa's soul and give her beloved loved ones Her angelic strength until they see her in Heaven again."
