Mark McLarey Obituary

Mark Thomas McLarey, age 55, of Scituate, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on Jan. 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after he fought a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was the loving husband of Maria (Raffa) McLarey and the devoted and adored father of Ben and Jake of Scituate; Caitlin and Tymalyn. He is deeply loved by the McLarey and Raffa families and was a great friend to many. Mark was a graduate of Marshfield High School and worked for the Town of Marshfield, Water Department for nearly 30 years. A true supporter of friends and family, Mark loved coaching basketball and baseball for the youth league in Scituate. He was a devoted Super Fan to Ben and Jakes teams, as well as his nieces and nephews teams. He will be missed by all who knew him. Celebration of life was on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Barn at the Red Lion Inn, South Main Street, Cohasset Village. It breaks my heart to think that Mark is gone. I had not seen him since my retirement from DPW in 1992, but he was a person one could never forget. He used to come into my office daily for a little conversation and candy. He was always talking about his family....he loved you so. RIP Mark and know how well you were thought of.
