Before we moved to Canada in 1992, we lived on 1 Shermans Bridge Road in Wayland MA for 7 years. Mary will always be part of our memories of Wayland and we will always hold her in our hearts. Whenever we returned to the Boston area, we made it a point to visit the old neighborhood, and it was lovely to see Mary and live again the memories of our boys as babies, of David and my parents (who got to know Mary on their visits from England and from India), and to catch up on news of Mary's children, grand-children, and, most recently, of the birth of her great-grandchild. She was so delighted when her grandson married Neela, as she told us of her Indian heritage. Mary's great-grandchild was born about the same time as our grandchild here in Canada. We did not know that Mary died in October. It was only after trying to reach her, since we hadn't heard from her at Christmas, that we found out this sad news. It will be sad to return to Wayland without Mary there, but she lived a good life, and we know our lives were so much richer for knowing her. If we all lived life so fully, with so much kindness, empathy, and faith, it would be wonderful. Rest in peace dear Mary. With our love, Crystal and David Sharp

I have such fond memories of mrs Kiely, going all the way back to my days in the Wayland schools. Growing up on Oxbow rd. , I can’ t remember ever driving down Sherman Bridge where she wasn’t on her hand and knees in her garden. As a kid, we were always amazed at the pace at which she walked down Oxbow on one of her walks. After my dad passed away, She was always very kind to my mom. My condolences to the family, you had a special mom!
