Emanuel Dandreo Obituary

Emanuel W. Dandreo, age 84, of Swampscott, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Janet M. (Owens) Dandreo, and the son of the late Donato and Mary (Morizzo) Dandreo. Born and raised in Swampscott, Emanuel lived in Swampscott all his life. A graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1946, he was a head custodian for the Town of Swampscott Schools. He worked at the Machon School and the Junior High School where he retired from in 1997, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed all the students that went through the school system. He previously worked at Cushmans Bakery as a baker. He enjoyed gardening, house projects and watching westerns and cowboy movies. He also liked to watch the Patriots. Emanuel was an Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his two sons, Daniel Dandreo and his wife Julie of Ottawa, KS and David Dandreo and his partner Dawn Marsella of Swampscott, a daughter Michele Holton and her husband Michael of Hooksett, NH, three loving grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel and Marissa Dandreo, a brother Vincent Jim Dandreo and his wife Peggy of Lynn, a sister Maryann Clemens and her husband Ralph of Boxford and a sister-in-law Joan Dandreo of Swampscott, sister in law and brother in law, Gail and Joseph Faia. He was the brother of the late Donato Dan Dandreo and Joseph Dandreo, and his wife the late Betty Dandreo. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean Street (Rte 1A) Lynn, followed by graveside services at Swampscott Cemetery at 12:00 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Donations may be made to the All Care VNA and Hospice, 210 Market Street, Lynn, MA 01901. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com.
