Sherman Otto Peterson, age 82, passed away March 8, 2014 at his home in Levan, Utah.
He was born June 23, 1931 in Levan, Utah to Ralph Otto and Edna Christensen Peterson. He married Florence Williams on May 6, 1955 in the Manti Temple.
He was a member of the LDS Church where he served in many callings including the Elders Quorum and High Priest Group. He has lived his entire life in Levan, Utah. He owned and operated Sherm's Conoco in Levan for 24 years where he served the community and the ones that passed through town. He then went to work for the Juab County Road Department for 17 years before retiring. He loved the mountains and outdoors that made Levan his home. This is where he loved to go hunting and fishing with his family. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survived by his wife Florence: children, Steven (Gayle) Peterson of Levan, UT; Robert Peterson of Levan,UT; Brenda Willden of Salina, UT; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Ralph Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Levan LDS Chapel. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Levan Town Cemetery.
