Marion L. Attardo

1945 - 2017

Marion Louise Attardo (Dwyer) age 71, of Norwell, passed peacefully in her home while surrounded by her loving family on June 30, 2017. She is survived by Daniel P. Attardo, her loving husband of 53 years, and their children, Daniel Attardo and wife Vicki of Chesapeake, Va., David Attardo and wife Mary Jane of Marshfield, and Paul Attardo of Quincy. Marion was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Viola B. (Faulkner) Dwyer, and was sister to the late Alice Grandy (her identical twin), and the late June Zografos. Marion was a devoted grandmother to Daniel Alexander, Nicholas, Anthony, and Raellyn. Marion Dwyer was born in Malden on July 1, 1945. She graduated from Dorchester High School where she met the love of her life, Daniel Attardo. They married in 1964 and moved to Norwell where they settled and raised three sons. Marion worked at Star Market as the Money Room Coordinator for 25 years before retiring. Marion loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Cooking meals and playing cards (poker) were her favorites. Visitation at St. Helens Parish, 383 Washington St. (Rte. 53), Norwell on Wednesday, July 5, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Interment at Marshfield Hills Cemetery.
