I feel blessed to have known Dr. Carpenter, even if it was for such a short time. What an incredible man. Godspeed.

Dear Sandra and Family,
Words cannot convey the impact Bernie had on so, so many people. I am grateful for having met him and worked along side such an inspirational man in the Tissue Typing Lab.
Bernies spirit and the medical knowledge he so selflessly shared, will echo in the halls of the Brigham for many, many years to come.
Sincerely,
Earlon Smith
