Timothy Brewster Obituary

Timothy Allen Brewster, rockstar husband of Dawn Minnich Brewster and daddy extraordinaire to Reese Annsley Brewster and Kailei (Kiki) Brewster passed away suddenly on March 19, 2016 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He was a resident of Needham, MA and formerly from Wellesley, MA. He was the life of the party, generous, kind, goofy, and friendly beyond measure. The Dos Equis guy would be his wingman. To know him was to love him. He felt like your best friend whether you knew him for 20 years or 20 minutes. His positivity and zest for life were infectious. In addition to his loving wife and daughters he is survived by his mother Maureen Lamothe OToole of Jewet City, CT; father Paul Brewster, Sr of New Seabury, MA; brother Paul (Sara) Brewster, Jr of East Longmeadow, MA; brother Scott Brewster of Jewett City, CT; brother Brendan Brewster of Malden, MA; sister-in-law Lisa (Jesse) Keim of Tower City, PA; and sister-in-law Ann Null of Williamstown, PA. He was honored to be godfather to Jakob Rioux of Franklin, MA, Torin Riley of Fort Polk, LA, and Warner Hardin of Austin, TX. He was proud Uncle Timmy to Teagan, Hayden, Connor, Celia, Chloe, Jenny, Ethan, and Alec. Tim was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Lillian Boisvert Lamothe, Simon and Laura Sadowski Brewster, and brother Justin Brewster. The world became brighter when he was born on August 16, 1967 in Norwich, CT. He was a 1985 graduate of Griswold High School in Griswold, CT. He played basketball and baseball and was named Griswold Highs scholar athlete. He graduated as his class salutatorian. So not just a pretty face. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology and a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Boston University. A true entrepreneur he landed his first job slinging newspapers from his Huffy at age 10. He recognized the power of supply and demand and sold gum to his classmates at a premium. He combined his entrepreneurial spirit, education, work ethic, and tireless energy and founded Train Boston Sports Center and Train Boston Physical Therapy in Wellesley, MA. His vision was to create the elite sports training facility in greater Boston staffed with highest caliber therapists, trainers, and operations. It was a labor of love, his first baby, and he loved doing it. Not only did he reach his goals, it became something even greater. He surrounded himself with the best of the best. His co-workers, clients, and business associates became family. He loved, supported, pushed, and elevated them to become their best selves. And vice versa. It was more than an LLC. It was family. A celebration of Tims life will be held Saturday, April 2, at 10:00am at New England Chapel, 40 Kenwood Circle, Franklin MA 02038. Relatives and friends kindly invited. An athletic scholarship fund has been created in Tims memory to continue his love for life and desire to help others. The Tim Brewster Scholarship Award will carry his legacy to many other children for years to come. More information can be found on www.gofund me.com/timbrewster. Online guestbook at gfdoherty.com. Tim was my PT, he helped me more in one session than I had experienced in years with others. He truly was a pleasure to know and I think of him often.

Having worked for Tim for 4 years, from the moment he first opened the doors to Train Boston as his office assistant and front desk manager - I was able to witness the machine he truly was. He worked extremely hard getting his first baby off the ground and running, and always found a way to squeeze in every client who "needed" his magic touch. Tim truly wanted what was best for everyone - he was constantly pushing us, personally and professionally because he cared. He worked hard, he played hard and he loved even harder. Through good times and bad, I'm thankful for the team he created there as we remain friends today; all because of Tim.
Dawn, I miss our group training and taking you to the train - I miss looking over at church lately and seeing you, Tim and those beautiful little girls. I haven't stopped thinking of you since hearing of Tims passing and will continue to pray for your peace and healing. #nofillers

No stranger to devastating and unexpected loss (of a child), I still can not imagine the pain of losing a beloved husband who is father to two beautiful young daughters. My heart breaks for you Dawn and for your daughters and Tim's family and friends. May you find strength over time as you receive support from those who love you most. Moving forward without Tim will be challenging, but over time, as the jagged edges of your broken heart begin to soften, I trust that you will find some peace in the beautiful memories of your husband. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Although I only met Tim this year in Cabo, he and his family came to the pool where I was sitting , introduced himself and shared with me what a wonderful daughter I had, Kim McClurg Redmon, and then complimented me on my sunglasses. We were all to spend more time together as the week developed but unfortunately that never happened.

Every time Tim Brewster walked into the room he brought with him an energy that reminded me:

The winds of grace are always blowing... All we need do is raise our sales.

I am and will be forever grateful to have had Tim in my life

With love and gratitude always,

I met Tim, Dawn and Resse poolside about 5 years ago in Cabo. They instantly became our "resort family" and we would continue see them all the 3rd week of every March. We nicknamed Tim "The Mayor of Casa Dorada" as he had friends, knowledge and wonderful suggestions about anything Cabo. From the Sand Bar outdoor massages, to the cliff side restaurant of El Farallon, he enthusiastically shared the spots to check out. I am still shocked and saddened by his passing. My heart aches for Dawn and the girls. My prayer is that their tender and broken hearts are forever looked after by family and friends. On flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, Tim.

Tim was my first physical therapist and trainer for my dislocated my shoulder in 1993, back in the day when he worked with and was learning from Craig Parsons at The Allston/Brighton Squash Club. As torturous as PT was the atmosphere was great and we always laughed a lot. I looked forward to my appointments even though the actual PT itself was less than fun on many days. Years later, Tim created that same atmosphere at Train Boston where he had me work with BJ Baker. BJ and I always had a blast (and remain friends) and Tim always had a smile, a hug, and a big hello for me even when he was really busy. He paid attention to people and that made all the difference. Although I haven't seen him in awhile I am stunned at his passing. My heart goes out to his beautiful family; wife, children and extended, who have lost this bright light. Tim made a difference in my life and I will miss him and always have a big smile on my face when I think of him. My deepest condolences...

Like everyone else, I am stunned by this unfortunate news.
I met Tim about 9 years ago at my wits end with a back issue that no one else could seem to figure out. At the end of the first session with Tim, my back pain was relieved, my spirit restored and I felt like I had a new friend!
I since referred several family members and friends, promising a "miracle worker" and he always delivered.
I cannot imagine the heartache his family is experiencing at this time, I can only figure heaven needed the best of the best, and called for him early.
