Sitting here with my Mom, Lyli, one of your first clients and biggest fans reminiscing about how much fun we had with you at the salon. You were the hairdresser of the whole McDonough family. We miss you and love you.

Our handsome and sweet Barry. We miss you and your memory continues to come up in our minds and hearts. Your smile shines through to this day. You would laugh at the horrible hair we are all left with during this strange Covid-19 time. From heaven you can see our roots for sure and get a little chuckle. We love you. Xo

To my loving husband Barry
You were the sweetest most loving person i will probably ever meet, your generosity was always heartfelt and given with compassion and joy, there were hardly ever a day that you didn't great me with a smile, you loved life and every creature in it. you were and are a one of a kind that could never be duplicated, you always treated everyone you encountered with respect and made them feel special, god must of really been testing you when he paired you with me and still you passed the test.
i was so proud to call you my husband, friend and partner in crime. i only wish i could be half the man you were!
if only i had just one more day with you to love you,, kiss you, and tell you again how much i truly love you, i would buy you the biggest plate of chicken Marsala you have ever seen ,,and all the Christmas decorations in the world! i would buy you all the biggest vintage antique dolls and a gold gilded palace for you to decorate to your hearts content.... My dear sweet Barry i love you to the moon and back and i am so sad you left me so soon but i am positive you have gone to a better place, you are at the biggest yard sale in the world with never ending money to buy all the antique treasurers you love so much!
You were my very best friend and i miss you so much, so much i pray to god that we meet again, rest in peace my handsome man , my sleeping beauty

I was just recently made aware of Barry's passing and feel much heartfelt sympathy for his loved ones and friends at this time. I didn't know Barry for long, but in the couple of years I got to know him through his salon, Barry was a genuinely kind and understanding person. A true gentleman who put much care into working with me as a client. He always made me feel comfortable and that I could have a voice during our appointments.
He touched many lives and while I knew him just for a short time, I am glad I had the opportunity to cross paths with him. He was a delight.
Barry, you are missed and we look forward to seeing you on the other side with your grace and sweetness.
Peace, love and light.

Oh, how Barry touched so many hearts during his life. My family had the joy and honor to know him for so many years starting back at Jordan Marsh in Braintree, MA. He became fast friends with our Mom, Lyliane, creating her signature haircut then there was Patricia and her daughter Jennifer and me. We all LOVED Barry and felt so special being in his joyful presence. He truly had a special aura about him that made everyone feel loved and happy. I have lived overseas for many years and my last trip to Boston was in 2013 and I thankfully went to see him and experienced his spirit one more time. With our heartfelt condolences to Michael and his family and friends who shared his life. Thank you Barry for making the world a happier and more beautiful place with your presence. Dear Michael, family, and beloved friends of Barry:
My sincerest condolences to you, one and all--
What a buoyant, interesting, kind, and generous soul Barry was, not to mention intelligent, humorous, attractive, and highly creative and talented on so many levels.
I was fortunate myself to have met Barry only recently, but instantaneously through his magnanimous and personal generosity of spirit, interest, empathy, warmth, and good humor. I felt embraced and engaged as if we had been life-long friends--- An otherworldly and rare and special personal trait for sure, because Barry was indeed an otherworldly and rare and special person for sure. However brief or profound the amount of time, we were all blessed and enriched to have known Barry in our lives, and hopefully we've all gained a bit more humanity ourselves, inspired by his example,
May Almighty God bestow upon Barry his just rewards for a life well lived, and may he
live on in every heart he touched while here among us, and rest peacefully and perfectly for all eternity in the heavens above.

After forty years of friendship, it will be difficult to believe that Barry is gone. He was such a bright spot in our lives. I don't think there was ever a time when I saw Barry without a brilliant smile on his face. His eyes and his whole personality lit up when he greeted you. He had a warmth and a spirit that you would automatically gravitate to. Not only did he know how to have fun, but he was happier if you joined him. He was appreciative as he was giving. Whether you were sitting in a chair having your hair done or if you just ran into him for a quick minute his soul left an impression on you. A good, happy and lasting impression. "Arcangeli" fits him perfectly. A high ranking angel here on earth is now in heaven where he belongs. When you think of Barry, you will feel his presence and when you do, know that you are walking with an angel.

Words cannot express my saddened heart at hearing of the loss of Barry. He was a wonderful caring person who always looked to help so many. I have known him since he left Jordan Marsh salon and came to Francesca's shop and then took over ownership. Michael, Tracy, and family, our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I am deeply saddened and shocked about the passing of Barry. He most certainly was a light in this world and shared his joy of life with others. He was my hairdresser for a few years and always made one feel more beautiful. He was so talented and already was dreaming of the designs for The Webster House Christmas events. He truly will be missed though his laugh will stay with me forever. My deepest condolences to Tracy and Michael whom I knew and to his family.
