I use to work at the Northport Seafood House in Chatham and listened to George every weekend for years. Does anyone know if he ever put together a CD? I would love to hear his music again

Mr. McCue was a gifted generous and devoted educator. Many many fond memories of Mr. McCue and Fulton School. He was kind to me, even when I did not understand, as children often do. The further I get from childhood, the more I appreciate those who tried to guide me. A great man.

I came across this site while doing a web search, and am very sad to hear of Mr. McCue's passing. He was my 6th grade teacher when our school was still named Pond School. I wasn't always the most well behaved kid at that school, but he had an amazing way about him that I have always respected. He made me feel like an important member of his class, and I still have nice memories of that school year with him. I moved away shortly thereafter and heard later that he became the Principal.
My condolences to his family.

To the McCue brothers,
Sorry to hear the news of George's passing. As you well know he was such a kick in the pants. Friendly to all the kids. Spoke to us all as if we were equal to an adult. We were important to George. And as I got older I could see that George did that to everyone he met. Made you feel, I don't know, like you were important, or somebody. I guess he was just cool and he was married to a wicked cool chick. You were truly blessed to have had such great parents. They sure did some fine parenting. Love to you all. Thanks for the great memories George.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Grindell Cochran and family

Family came first: then Friends, music, and always, laughter. George had that quirky sense of looking at himself and the world in a very non traditional way.
Kevin, Dierdre, Brigid, and Tim, your life has to be so rich with memories of this very unique man. He was a gift to many. My mother, Gladys Zinkevich, always shared a true friendhip with both your Mom and Dad. The flowering Cherry Tree your parents gave my mother still blooms at the new "Sea View Park" : Now blooming in all their memory.

With understanding sympathy, Jan Z. Girouard

We heard the sad news when we were at our home in Ireland.

Our sadness, and we hope the sadness of his family, is easier to bear because we always will hear his wonderful piano, the sound of his songs and the echoing laughter of his beloved wife..
