William Campbell Obituary

William H. Campbell Jr., of Weymouth, age 71, entered into eternal life on July 31, 2018. Mr. Bill was born in Quincy, raised in Braintree and has lived in Weymouth for 35 years. Mr. Campbell was an Army veteran and served two tours in Vietnam He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in North Weymouth for many years. He was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed fishing and playing trivia. Mr. bill was a supporter of numerous animal charities. Beloved husband of Barbara L. (Holbrook) Campbell. Devoted father of Heather Campbell of Easthampton and Jason and Sean Campbell, both of Weymouth. Beloved brother of Carol Prifti of Rockland and Thomas Campbell and his wife Maggie of Braintree, and the late Mary Salvas. Loving grandfather of Nikolas Parmentier and great-grandfather of Cyrus. Funeral service at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth on Friday, August 3, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Barbara, Heather, Jason and Sean - very sorry for your loss. As Chris said, Uncle Billy was our "cool uncle" and I have some great childhood memories when our family used to come and visit in Hanson (I always liked checking out his awesome record collection!). Take good care.

Oh Mr. C. I remember your quite but strong presence, while all of us kids literally took over your house, many many times. I can still see you standing in the kitchen, with a cigarette in your hand, joining in on all the crazy conversations. Thanks for allowing us all those memories.
