Dennis Baldwin

1943 - 2026

Dennis B. Baldwin, age 82 of Clare, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at home. Dennis was born the son of the late Jerry and Margaret (Andrews) Baldwin on December 7, 1943 in Detroit. He was united in marriage to Sharon E. Robertson on September 7, 1964 in Livonia, with her predeceasing him on March 23, 2004. Dennis had lived the better part of his life in Clare and had worked as an Automotive Machinist at Ray's Automotive and Car Quest, before opening Denny's Machine Shop at his residence. He had volunteered on the Clare Fire Department for 15 years. Cars were his passion; he loved his Hot Rods. Dennis enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Red Wings.

Dennis is survived by his sons David Baldwin of Cadillac and Matthew (Stacie) Baldwin of Farwell; his sister Julie (David) Katke of Olathe, KS; six grandchildren Jacob (Katelynn) Bassett, Joshua Bassett, Mariel Baldwin, Alyssa Baldwin, Samantha Baldwin and Brooke Baldwin.

Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 1 P.M. at the Vernon Twp. Cemetery with Pastor Gary Mann officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be left at www.stephenson-wyman.com
