Jeanne Drury Obituary

Jeanne Marie Drury, age 65, of St. Louis, MI (formerly of Farwell), passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 6, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Francis and Jane (Allen) Kalahar. Jeanne married Thomas Drury on June 9, 1984, in Clare, and he survives her. Jeanne had so much love for her family and friends. To know her was to love her. She lived with a fierce devotion to those she cherished, a faith in God that never wavered, and a strength that carried her through even the hardest of days. For decades, Jeanne carried the invisible weight of cancer, only learning its name in the last six years. Even under that burden, she gave her family joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her resilience and courage were matched only by her kindness and the way she poured herself into her loved ones. Jeanne was a woman of warmth, honesty, and unwavering love. She was not only a mother but also a best friend, a guiding light, and a safe place for her children. To them, and to all who knew her, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and faith. Though her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who loved her, her spirit will forever live on. We take comfort in imagining her reunited with her beloved grandfather and father. We trust she now soars free, at peace, and watching over those she held most dear. Jeanne's love was a gift, and her memory will remain a blessing to us always. Survivors include her husband, Thomas, her children, Christopher and Marla Drury of Alma, Ashley (Colin Church) Drury of Mt. Pleasant, her mother, Jane Kalahar, of Lake, her much-loved grandchildren, Evelyn and Annabelle Drury and Aidan Church, her siblings, Dave and Kim Kalahar, of Florida, Diane and Dave Schlafley, also of Florida, Deborah Flattery, of Clare, Daniel and Donna Kalahar, of Lake, and Bonnie and Brad Martin, also of Lake. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank, in 2006. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 2, from 2–5 pm at Community Church, 425 Heather Lane, Alma, MI 48801. Her family was assisted by Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Homes of Clare and Farwell. An online condolence register is available on Jeanne's Tribute Page at www.stephenson-wyman.com, for those unable to attend her celebration.
