She married Harry Wilcox Jr. on September 17, 1955 at the Wilton Congressional Church. They were lifelong residents of Wilton, CT. Ellen worked as a Secretary to the Chief of Police, as well as a Matron.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and more shopping. When she was able to drive, she was always on the go. She and her husband, Harry, belonged to several Bike Clubs, and as soon as she heard the start of the motorcycle engine, she perked up, ready for an adventure.

She loved them all so much, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Harry Wilcox; daughter, Nancy Wilcox; son, Harold Wilcox; grandson, Troy Benjamin Doring; and brother, Clifford Plummber.
