Jules Dupuy Obituary
Jules studied Optometry at Louisiana State University and earned his Optometry diploma from the University of Houston. He began his Optometry career with Texas State Optical, traveling throughout the state to practice at multiple locations before establishing his practice in Kerrville and later Fredericksburg.
He married Fritzi Myers in Kerrville May 23, 1969 and the two remained married for 52 years.
In his spare time, Jules enjoyed golf, a pastime he learned from his father, whom he greatly admired. He was a devout follower of Christ through the Catholic Church and was active with St. Mary Catholic Church of Wimberley in recent years.
Jules loved his family, a good laugh, a delicious cup of gumbo, and his faith. He enjoyed getting to know his grandchildren over the years and was proud to see them grow into young adults.
Jules is predeceased by Fritzi, who passed away in 2021. He is survived by his son, Jules Dane Dupuy, and his wife, Helen Nicole Dupuy; his daughter, Julie Anna Dupuy Teague, and her husband, Ryan Keith Teague; and his other son, Jason Myers Dupuy and his wife, Jessica Norman Dupuy; grandchildren, Jules Cole Dupuy, Keith Smithey Teague, Clayton Charles Dupuy, Lindsey Ellen Teague, Cooper Beitel Dupuy, Harper Elizabeth Teague, Augustus James Dupuy, and Ashlyn Joyce Dupuy.
A memorial service in honor of Jules will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 14711 Ranch Rd 12, Wimberley, TX 78676, officiated by Rev. Chris Unachukwu MSP.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to St. Mary Catholic Church of Wimberley or Amigos de Jesus Ministry.
Jules's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Alexis Pointe Senior Living in Wimberley for their compassionate care in Jules's final days.
