Alfred Lundy

LUNDY CLEMMONS- Mr. Alfred Martin Lundy, 85, of Hampton Road, Clemmons, NC passed away Sunday, February 27th, 2011. He was born in Erwin Tennessee on April 28th, 1925 to Terry and Virginia Hanen Lundy. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII and later attended the University of Tennessee. He dedicated 34 years working for Piedmont Airlines. A member of Clemmons First Baptist Church, as long as his health permitted, Al also enjoyed memberships in the Masonic lodge, Eastern Star and Rotary Clubs of Clemmons. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Terry Jr. and John Lundy, and one daughter Robin Lea. Surviving are his wife; Eva Cline Lundy of High Point, NC, daughter; Marion Hutchens of Virginia, three step daughters; Valarie Scott of Virginia, Sharon Caviness (John) of Whispering Pines, NC; and Michele Bean of Greensboro, NC, two sons; William Lundy (Carole) of Pennsylvania; and Mark Lundy (Gina) of Lewisville, NC, two step-sons; Stephen Scott of Indonesia and Steve Bean (Kym) of Greensboro, NC. Additionally he is survived by six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Clemmons First Baptist Church on March 18th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Dr. Robert Phillips presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice, or to Clemmons First Baptist Church in the name of Alfred Lundy.
