Benjamin Beeson Obituary

Beeson, Benjamin "Ben"

August 7, 1983 - February 16, 2023

Benjamin "Ben" Hastings Beeson, 39, of Clemmons, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. He was born August 7, 1983, in Forsyth County. Ben graduated from West Forsyth High School, where he ran track and cross country. Ben was a member of the Twin City Track Club and was the youngest runner to complete the Ultimate Runner in 1991 at 7 years old. Over 31 years later, he still holds the North Carolina State record for 5 miles for a 7 year old with a time of 36:37 at the AT&T Road Race on May 4, 1991. Some of the most enjoyable times were running with his dad. He later attended Guilford Technical Community College studying Turf Management. He also worked for a short time at Bell South as a temporary customer service assistant, where his mother worked. He enjoyed it very much, even ranking number one or two in the office for several months, but being inside was not for him. Ben also worked in golf course maintenance at Bermuda Run Country Club while attending Turf Management School. Ben was owner and operator of Beeson Landscaping and a member of Crews United Methodist Church. He had a passion to help others anytime he could. He is survived by his parents, Gail and Marty Beeson; one brother, Brian Long (Kristin) of Lawrenceville, GA; a nephew, Carson Long; a niece, Camryn Long; aunts and uncles, David Beeson (Hilda), Steve Cutright (LuAnn) and Mickey Boone (Doris) and many cousins. A Memorial Service for Ben will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Crews United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ashley Cyre and Rev. Gary Camp officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Crews United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice. I cant say anything to comfort you at this horrific time. Please just keep the faith because that's all we have at times like this, I'm writing on behalf of my mother (Sandra) also because growing up in this neighborhood we all were family. God speed to you all and our prayers are with you.
