Bobby Bullins Obituary

BULLINS MADISON, NC - Bobby Lero Bullins Sept. 21, 1937- Jan. 17, 2012 Bobby Lero Bullins, 74, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, January 17, 2011 at Pioneer Community Hospital (Stokes Reynolds) in Danbury. A 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2012, at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Rodney Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby was born in Stokes County, September 21, 1937, the son of Richard Sylvester and Roverta Richardson Bullins. He served in the US Army from 1961-1964 attaining the rank of Specialist E-5.While serving in the Army he was a member of the Ordinance Missile Supply Company, International Command serving in Germany and Italy. Bobby retired from Fuzzy's Wholesale Barbecue with over twenty seven years of service. Bobby was a member of the American Legion in Patrick Springs, VA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Bullins. Bobby is survived by five sisters and two brothers, Martha Bullins and husband Cecil of Madison, Marie Smith, Haley Farmer Carolyn Haley and husband Steve all of Madison, Linda Anderson of Mayodan, Harris Bullins and wife Judy and Tony Bullins and wife Melissa of Madison; several nieces and nephews he loved to talk to about accomplishing great things in life. He was a wonderful brother who loved and cared for his family. Also he was known as a giving man and a deeply religions man. The joy of his life was fishing and raising a garden. He was known for growing the best watermelons in the county. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Ray Funeral Home in Madison. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to, Hospice of Stokes County, PO Box 863, Walnut Cove, NC 27052 or the Patrick County Honor Guard c/o Ray McAlexander, 64 Blacksmith Road, Meadows of Dan, VA. 24120. Ray Funeral Home in Madison is serving the Bullins family.
