Charlie Crews Obituary

WALKERTOWN - Mr. Charlie Edward Crews, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005. He was born July 19, 1934, in Forsyth County to Reuben Charles and Pauline Needham Crews. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Smith Crews; and a son, James Marvin Joyce. Survivors include a daughter, Dorene O. Chatman; a son, Charles M. Joyce; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Frances Blackmon, Peggy Elizabeth Holder and Sarah Ann Shelton; and two brothers, Kenneth Matthew Crews and Bobby Ray Crews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Elder Jimmy Lankford officiating. There will be no visitation for Mr. Crews.
