Darrell Fries Obituary

FRIES WINSTON-SALEM - Mr. Darrell Lynwood Fries, of 410 Alspaugh Drive, passed away January 17, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Darrell was born December 16, 1958 in Forsyth County. He was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and Ephesus Jr. Academy. Mr. Fries was a veteran of the US Army and was employed at Roadway Trucking Company for 19 years. Darrell was reared and nurtured in a loving home by his stepfather, William Wilson, who preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Francenia Wilson Smith; three brothers: Andre, Harvey and Robert (Porcial) Wilson; one sister, Diane Smith of Atlanta, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two devoted friends, Ms. Carolyn Pelzer and Mr. John Lecost. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Godwin Mitchell, officiating. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. (Clark S. Brown & Sons)
