Grayson Atkins Obituary
KING - Baby Grayson Jade Atkins of King passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Bob and Vernell Payne, Bill Coon and Ocie Nichols. Her loving parents are Kevin Dean and Ashley Payne Atkins. She is also survived by her parental grandparents, Wayne and Robin Atkins of Pilot Mountain; maternal grandparents Jeff and Susan Payne of Pinnacle; aunts and uncles Ellis Payne and Christopher and Stephanie Atkins; and great-grandparents Carole Coon, Bobby Nichols and Chester and Eloise Atkins. Private graveside services will be conducted today, June 23, with the Rev. Scott Kyles officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinnacle Elementary Media Center, Attn: Karen Kemp, 1095 Surry Line Road, Pinnacle, NC 27043, or Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 224 Northridge Drive, King, NC 27021. The Atkins family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain.

Remember me mommy when your heart aches
That I am now through heaven's gates.

That I am with God, completely healthy and glad.
Remember me grandparents when you long for me
That I am in Heaven's playground as safe as can be.
Remember me aunts and uncles for I know your names
And when you reach heaven we can play all those fun games.
Remember me my loved ones and always hold me dear
Please don't forget I am in heaven and that you should not fear.
God has his little angels he takes them at his will
But he does not erase the pain that all the parents feel.
When you reach Heaven and feel the tug of your hand
It will be your Grayson Jade helping you tour Heaven's land.

Hello Ashley,
I just wanted to tell you that I have added you and your husband to our prayer list at church. I work with you but you probably do not really know me. I work in the Central Office in the payroll department. My heart really goes out to you and your husband but God said he would not put more on us than we can bear. Sometimes it doesn't seem fair the decisions that God makes but he sees further into the future and he makes no mistakes. God loves us all and he will make you stronger through this trial and he always makes a trial turn into a blessing. God will give you added strength and let him be the wind beneath your wings and let him lead, guide and direct you. If you need anything, please feel free to contact me. I will continue to pray for you daily and just want you to know someone does care for you. God Bless you and your family.
