To The Ward Family
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Just know that it is said in his word that he would never leave you nor forsake you and that he will never put more on you that you can bear. I remember him taking our last family portrait of my grandmother and mom and I at the women's function at Oak Grove and he and his daughter were working together and they made a great team and sitting at Maxine's house in the back yard at her annual cook out laughing and eating together. Mr. Ward was very well known and will be greatly missed. I was glad to have known him, he was a very nice man.

To the Ward Family,
As people get older and reflect back in their life certain people stand out. Mr. Ward was one of them for me. I was one of “his” kids at Anderson High in the mid 70’s. I had taken “shop” previously but things changed when Mr. Ward became my teacher. He taught us that not only were we building something out of wood but we needed to put our hearts into it. (I still have the peice I built in his class). This line of thinking was evident as I watched him build a bar to go into his daughter’s house. I have continued to keep this thought in mind as I build things to this day.
My heart and prayers go out to the family for your loss, and I as I told Dwight Hoover…The Good Lord Above Must have needed something built

To the Family of Mr. Howard L. Ward

We have been blessed for many years, to work and share with the Ward family. Fellow students at A&T State University, working on the "Register" (newspaper staff) together, and being co-workers at Anderson Jr. & Sr. High Schools, Howard and I (Rudolph) developed a lasting friendship. Our families were active in Guys and Dolls, Inc. The Wards have been great team players and we learned a lot from each other.
We will miss Howard's contributions and community involvements, and so will many other people and organizations. May God bless each of you, to keep the fond memories of your loved one as a guiding light for the times ahead. We love you!!!
