Jack Ray Weaver, 92, passed away at home on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born to the late John Alton Weaver and Hazel Ray Weaver Bumgarner on July 16, 1933 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Mr. Weaver enlisted in the Army after High School and served during the Korean War. When he returned home, he completed a plumbing apprenticeship under the GI Bill. Mr. Weaver worked for many years as a plumber and founded Weaver Plumbing Company. He was a member of the Plumber's Union, the Mechanical Contractor's Association of N.C. and S.C., and the Plumber and Pipefitters Association. He was also the former executive director of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. Mr. Weaver was a member of many organizations including, The Elks, the Odd Fellows, the Oasis Shriners, and he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was an active member of Messiah Moravian Church.

Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Petree Weaver. He is survived by two daughters, Melinda Knight (Ed) of Columbia, S.C., and Andrea Hall of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Corinne Knight Cooper (Paul) of Atlanta, Ga., Ellen Knight of Charleston, S.C., and Breanna Hall of Greenville, S.C.

A funeral service will be held at Messiah Moravian Church on August 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at God's Acre in Salem Moravian Graveyard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah Moravian Church, 1401 N. Peace Haven Rd., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27104. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
