James Brim Obituary

BRIM MOUNT AIRY - Mr. James Zanders Brim, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Mary Ida Gilbert) Brim, was born in Patrick County on Aug. 22, 1917. He departed this life and assumed his permanent residence in the presence of Christ Glory on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Madgalone Valentine; four brothers, Gazel Brim, Andrew Brim, Wilson Brim and Elder Joe Brady Brim Sr.; a special niece, Ms. Rosa Harris; two special nephews, Mr. Bill Valentine and Mr. Wayne Brim; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 64 years, Mrs. Jessie McCloud Brim; a sister, Levonia (Fred) Jenkins Sr. of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances R. Brim of Mount Airy. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Paynetown Triumphant Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mount Airy, with Dr. Tony O. Carter, eulogist. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens, Mount Airy. Family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. before the funeral service. Family may be contacted at his home at 300 Marshall Farm Road, Mount Airy. Spencer Funeral Directors are in charge of all services and arrangements.
