Jane Marie Hopkins Fleming

February 25, 1939 - March 13, 2025

Jane was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Frank Ellsworth Hopkins and Evelyn McCraw Hopkins.

She graduated from Brooklyn's Fort Hamilton High School in 1956, and married William Fleming in 1957.

The family moved to Clemmons, NC, in 1971. She was known as the 'AVON Lady' for most of Clemmons from 1972-78, before starting her career in reservations with Piedmont Airlines. She retired from the airline industry in 2011. She loved her Piedmont/USAir colleagues and stayed in touch with her friends until being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2020. She will be remembered as a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, neighbor, and coworker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Lou Bocchicchio; and her brother, William Phelps Hopkins.

She is survived by her three sons, Carey (Margaret), of Buckeye, AZ, Jim (Maria), of Miami, FL, and Bill, of Greensboro, NC; as well as grandchildren, Brian Fleming, Brittany Caston, Chelsea Fleming, Carey P. Fleming and Lena Clark. Also eight great-grandchildren and several cousins on the McCraw side of the family (Lynchburg, VA).

The service will be held Saturday March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Clemmons United Methodist Church: she will be interred at the church's columbarium.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Trinity Elms Assisted Living facility (Harper Wing) in Clemmons. We will be forever grateful for the care they provided to our mother.
