Janice Hennings Obituary

EAST BEND - Mrs. Janice Hall Myers Hennings, 71, loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on the morning of Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at her home. Having fought long and hard against her ailments for the sake of her family and friends, she is finally at peace. Mrs. Hennings was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Forsyth County to Howard Monroe and Josephine Hall Myers. She was a member of Stony Knoll United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Grady Lee Hennings, of the home; her children, Russell Myers (Margaret) Hennings of Advance and Stephanie Hennings (Peter) Bynum of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Cara Hennings, Megan Hennings, Molly Myers Bynum and Kate Bynum; a sister, Linda (Jerry) Bowman; and a brother, David (Lee Ann) Myers, of Pfafftown. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 10, at Stony Knoll United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Buffkin and Peter Bynum officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stony Knoll United Methodist Church, 2340 Flint Hill Road, East Bend, NC 27018. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Northern Home Care. Huff Funeral Home in East Bend is serving the family.
