Not sure what to say?

Snuffy was the guy you took your prised instrument to get repaired, you knew he would do the best on it. I always liked the picture of him sitting on a couch with Earl Scruggs on one side of him and JD Crowe on the other. He will be missed greatly, I hope somehow his bridges will continue on the market. Snuffy worked on two of my instruments and his attention to detail was far beyond what I could see. I was proud to tell my friends who did the work. As has been said already, he was "one of a kind". When I visited his shop I was never in a hurry to leave. It was the highlight of the day just to talk with him.

Larry (Lefty) Andrews Sr... I just found out about his death and just could not believe this. We have lost a great man and with that a great person. He knew so much about instruments. My 1966 Mastertone has never sounded better that it does now. Many people depended on his skills and kept their instruments runnig like his fine tuned banjo clocks. I count it an honor to have known him and will cherish the time we spent together working on my RB-250. God Bless, from Larry Andrews Sr./ Yadkinville, NC.

Jacque, Silvio here. I'm totally devastated... As you know well I haven't been in touch with you guys for several years now , owing to personal problems in my life, and my impossibility to reach Snuffy via email. But I've been constantly thinking about you all since John Boulding let me know the sad news. I keep recalling all the wonderful moments I spent with you all at your place in Springdale and during our trip in Italy, all the great things that I learned from Snuffy, our quiet way of enjoying each other's friendship and everything. I'll never forget that Snuffy always made a point to send his mother to talk to me whenever I played in the Tulsa area, bring me "Joe's" greetings, and renew our friendship this way. I regret having lost contact for such I long time, my loss, and an added reason to grieve. I love you and Snuffy, you'll be in my heart forever. You all are special.
Silvio

Snuffy will be deeply missed. I only wish I had made the trip to see him more often than I did. He was a fine craftsmen, and an even better friend. I will think of Snuffy every time I get the banjo out of the case, and think of the many conversations we shared over a Coca Cola Zero. "Keep yer powder dry" good buddy, I'll sure miss ya!

Jacque you KNOW how much he will be missed. I played with him for a few years and found him to be a kind and generous friend. He was quite a picker, who loved the Key of C!
I will think of him every time I hear a banjo being played.

Kind Regards Always,
