John Crowe Obituary
June 21, 1939 - February 18, 2021
Al is celebrating eternity in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Born in Cartersville, Ga., Al spent his formative years in Tifton, Ga. He attended Valdosta State College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1963. In 1967 he graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with his Doctorate in Medicine, followed by an internship at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. He then attended the Medical College Of Georgia and completed his residency in General Surgery.
He entered the Air Force in 1971 and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1973.
He practiced general surgery in Clinton, NC, Yadkinville, NC and with the Veterans Administration in Salisbury, NC and Winston-Salem, NC.
Survivors include his wife, Gail; sons: Bert (Sylvia), Ken (Mary); Jeff (Kim); sister, Nita Smith.
There are no funeral plans at this time.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu of of flowers, memorials may be made to:

John was not only a great surgeon but he was a great friend! We enjoyed seeing and talking with him as a member of the team at VAOPC Winst-Salem! John was always helpful to those of us in Primary Care! Always miss him! Tom Coppley PA (Retired)
