I was saddened to hear of Johnny's passing. I wish I was able to pay my respects in person, but I was late in hearing the news. Johnny and I became good friends during my years at WPAQ...and it was always great to work with him when he would substitute host for Clyde Johnson on the Saturday Merry-Go-Round. Johnny was one of the finest local entertainers I ever had the pleasure to know. Some of my fondest memories of Johnny was the many performances of the Hall Twins and the Westerners of which Johnny was part of and the spokesman for. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.
