Jonathan Scott Obituary

SCOTT LEXINGTON - Jonathan Marcus " Clay" Scott, 19, of Justin Court passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 9, 2009 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Scott was born March 13, 1990 in Guildford County to Marcus Timothy Scott and Robin Thomas Scott. He was owner and operator of Facing Reality Music Group Inc., also was employed by Shell Bonding Co. He attended Union Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas Clay Scott. Mr. Scott is survived by his father Marcus Timothy Scott and wife Karen of Lexington, mother Robin Thomas Pettus of Salisbury. Sisters; Olivia Jordan Scott, Morgan Lynsay Scott of Lexington, Brooke Carolanne Scott and husband Josh Walzer of Charlotte, Tiffany Amber Ferguson of Salisbury and Kaitlyn Starr Pettus of Salisbury. Grandparents; Lee Palmer and wife Carol of Winston Salem, George Atkins and wife RoseAnn of Lexington. A visitation will be held Thursday October 8, 2009 from 6:30 until 8:30 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, other times at 271 Fieldstone Drive. In Lieu of flowers may be made to union Grove Baptist Church 2295 Union Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27295. Even in our grief, the family of Clay celebrates the life that he lived. Clay lived for God and had a great desire to reach others for Christ. Clay' s passion in life was music. "I want my music to reach out to young people because that it is where the future of Christianity lies." Clay Scott . Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
