I worked for Ken when I was In High School back in the Fifties, at the drive in on reynolda rd. Ihave known him all my life, and he was a great guy. He was a great friend.

Going to Staley's was a tradition with my family every Saturday night and meeting Ken at the door with that "ken cheek smile" only made the experience that more special. As it was told to me by my Mother, my Father drove up under the canopy only to ask Ken if infants were allowed in the restaurant. Ken replied, absolutely as they are our future customers. We celebrated many birthdays, proms and other special occasions with Ken as he was like family. He created many special memories and was a very special person.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ken's family. He was always so kind to us and especially our daughter. Our favorite place to visit since she was 2 years old. Thanks for the memories. Sue and Jack Perkins

Deepest condolences on the loss of "the world's greatest chef." For years, we had dinner a couple of times every week at Staleys on Reynolda. Ken was a true southern gentleman.
