Lars Loftus Obituary

LOFTUS MOCKSVILLE - Lars Mike Loftus, 41, of Cherry Hill Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, from injuries in a traffic accident. Born in Nassau County, N.Y., on Feb. 17, 1966, he was the son of the late Patrick Michael and Ingrid Charlotte Sydow Loftus. He was employed by Republic Services Inc. and was of the Lutheran faith. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge since 1999. Mr. Loftus is survived by his fiancee, Chandra Warren of Mocksville; two sisters, Ingrid (Kenneth) Arnold of Pfafftown and Lisa (Kevin) Conroy of Winston-Salem; five beloved children, Michael, Joseph and Robert Warren and Ashley and Demi Gott; and two nieces, Erin and Annika. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Loftus will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Davie Funeral Service Chapel, with Deacon John Zimmerle officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home. Donations may be to the Lars Loftus Memorial Fund established for the children at Bank of the Carolinas, 135 Boxwood Village Drive, Mocksville 27028; or 352 Highway 801 South, Advance, NC 27006; or to any Bank of the Carolinas bank. Davie Funeral Service is serving the family of Mr. Loftus.
